1. Organizer
Seek & Win (the "Organizer"), publisher of the augmented-reality treasure-hunt game "Seek & Win" and of seekandwin.world, organizes free game sessions with no purchase required (the "Sessions") inside partner venues. These framework rules apply to all Sessions; each Session's specifics (dates and times, venue, prize at stake and its commercial value) are displayed in the app on the session page and form an inseparable part of these rules. The French version prevails in case of conflict.
2. Duration and schedule
Each Session takes place on the dates and times shown on its page in the app. The scheduled end time is decisive: it is the closing moment at which the winner is determined. Times are authoritative as recorded by the Organizer's servers. The Organizer may postpone, shorten, suspend, or cancel a Session in case of force majeure or technical failure.
3. Venue and physical presence
Each Session takes place exclusively within the geographic boundary of the partner venue shown on its page. The participant's physical presence inside this boundary, verified by server-side geolocation, is mandatory during active participation. If the participant leaves the area, a grace period is granted to return; failing that, the participant is disqualified and loses possession of the treasure, if applicable.
4. Participation requirements
Participation is entirely free of charge, with no purchase required. It requires the free "Seek & Win" iOS app, a player account with a valid email address (one account per person), a compatible device with geolocation enabled, and being at least 16 years old (unless a Session states otherwise; minors participate with the consent of their legal guardian). Persons directly involved in organizing the Session are excluded.
5. Game mechanics and winner determination
During the Session, a virtual treasure appears in augmented reality inside the venue boundary. Participants search for and capture it through the app; the treasure can then be "stolen" between participants for the whole duration of the Session.
The winner is the participant holding the virtual treasure at the Session's scheduled end time, as recorded by the Organizer's servers, whose decision is final, subject to the anti-fraud checks (section 8).
6. Optional perks
The app may offer optional advantages purchased with in-app credits, which make finding the treasure easier. These advantages do not change how the winner is determined: the winner remains whoever holds the treasure at closing time. No purchase is necessary to participate or to win. Credits have no monetary value and are non-refundable and non-transferable.
7. Prize, collection, and coupons
Each Session's prize (a physical product from the partner) and its commercial value (incl. VAT) are shown on the session page in the app. The winner receives a win code / QR to present at the partner venue's counter to collect the prize. The code has a limited validity (30 days by default, unless stated otherwise); once expired, it is void without compensation. The prize cannot be exchanged, refunded, or converted into money. Consolation coupons may be offered to non-winning participants, subject to their own terms.
8. Fraud and anti-cheat
The Organizer runs server-side detection of GPS location spoofing and other forms of cheating. Any proven fraud (location falsification, automated tools, multiple accounts, circumvention of presence rules) results in disqualification, cancellation of any winnings, and exclusion, with the server's decision being final.
9. Personal data
The processing related to the game (player account, GPS positions during Sessions, anti-fraud measures, analytics) is described in our Privacy Policy. Participants have the rights provided by the GDPR, exercisable notably from within the app.
10. Liability and safety
Participants play at their own responsibility and agree to comply with the venue's internal rules and to remain aware of their physical surroundings while using augmented reality. The Organizer cannot be held liable for accidents caused by a participant's inattention, nor for network or geolocation failures, to the extent permitted by law.
11. Acceptance, availability, and disputes
Taking part in a Session implies full acceptance of these framework rules, of the Session's own rules, of the Terms of Service, and of the Privacy Policy. The rules are available free of charge in the app and on this page; a copy can be obtained on request at legal@seekandwin.world. These rules are governed by French law; any claim must be sent to the Organizer within a reasonable time after the end of the Session.
